Overall objectives of the action

1. To intensify and deepen the bilateral tourism cooperation between Zakarpatska an Bükk-Miskolc micro-regions while improving the regions’ sustainability performance. 2. Elaboration and implementation of bilateral sustainable tourism strategy and action planning in the named micro-regions. 3. Improvement of tourism infrastructure of Northern Hungary and Zakarpatska. 4. Development of local economies through tourism. 5. Integration of inhabitants including peripheral social groups in specific economic and social activities. 6. Preservation of cultural and historical heritage of the micro-regions. 7. Preservation of the environmental diversity of the named micro-regions. 8. Improve the general knowledge of citizens on the European integration in both micro-regions. 9. Improvement of cross-border cooperation between the two regions in question.

Estimated results

1. Harmonized, bilateral joint sustainable tourism strategy for.(As a supporting document for the implementation of touristic actions.) 2. More sustainable tourism in the named micro regions. 3. Better tourist infrastructure of the regions. 4. New, standardised, jointly developed and more sustainable tourism products and services. 5. More competitive local economies due to a more developed tourism service sector. (Due to competitive products and trainings.) 6. Better environmental performance of the settlements and the micro-regions. 7. Improved access to information about the micro-regions and settlements. (Due to the application of multilingual multimedia tools.) 8. More diversified social and cultural life of the micro-regions. 9. Improved multi-level cross-border partnerships between Hungary and Ukraine.
