Overall objectives of the action

Strengthening social and economic development in the Carpathian Region by fostering cooperation among the small and medium sized enterprises to solve regional problems in investment

Specific objectives of the action

Introduction of effective methods and synergies of increasing the attracting investment flows of small and medium sized enterprises and support for creating a favourable investment climate in Ukrainian-Romanian cross-border region, improving its image through cross-border cooperation.

Estimated results

Quantitative results: 1 Steering Committee; 4 meeting of Steering Committee; 2 project expert groups; 2 conferences (60 participants); 4 expert groups meetings; 2 round tables sessions (40 participants); 2 focus groups meeting (40 participants); 1 analytic research (Ukrainian, Romanian, integrated); 1 public opinion research of 200 respondents (Ukrainian, Romanian, integrated); 4 training modules and 1 workshop (40 participants); 1 database; 1 three-lingual guide of experience with successful practices (5000 copies); 1 three-lingual promotional brochure about the investment attractiveness of the region (5000 copies); 1 three-lingual map of the investment potential of the Carpathian region (5000 copies), 1 three-lingual catalogue of investment proposals in the region (5000 copies); 1 International Investment Forum (70 participants). Qualitative results: Involvement investments in the small and medium sized enterprises; creation additional workplaces in small and medium sized enterprises; involved investors; establishment of cooperation in the development of investment activity: - international level: conducting the analytical research, public opinion survey; preservation of the investment through the introduction of sustainable regional development practices; introduction of European quality standards in investment; creation of quality products capable of competing in the European markets. - regional level: involvement by the Region in integrative processes through the establishment of a joint investment; creation of positive image of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region and Maramures County in regional and international markets; improving access to information and awareness levels; conducting International Investment Forum. - target group and direct beneficiary levels: involvement investments in the small and medium sized enterprises; creation of additional workplaces in small and medium sized enterprises; involved investors; establishment of cooperation in the development of investment activity.
